More About the Belt Pack

The rotating belt pack offers plenty of storage space for all your essential gear, including fly boxes, leaders, weights, floats, etc.

The belt pack also creates a convenient, hands-free way to stash your rod while changing your set-up in the middle of a river. Notice Gene is using the included neck strap to cinch the belt pack up higher for wading in deeper water.

What gear would you put in the belt pack?

Mark McWilliams:

The new Fly bag looks great. You asked what we’d put in… here’s an idea for you from someone with aging eyes. A flip out magnifier mounted on the inside top lip of the belt pack. Having a hands free lens that could rotate out and let me better see when knotting on a new fly would be awesome. Just keep me in mind if this feature becomes a big hit for you ;^)

My two requirements for a belt pack are a compartment to hold wet flies preferably with a removable foam insert which allows me to put them in the windshield of the car to dry and sufficient space to hold at least 4 of the XL umpqua fly boxes. Is there any chance of finding these features in your product. I looked at the panorama at REI and the beltpack is about half an inch too short.

Ted Meister:

Mark, thanks for reminding us of the eventual decline of our vision. As you can see from the photo of Gene, our resident fisherman, he always has his glasses leashed around his neck.

Ted Meister:

Steve, The rotation beltpack has pockets for one large and one medium box, and room for a third medium box. If the pull-out divider is removed, the capacity increases to 3 large, one medium.
